About the Competition .
The Pollino Danza Festival’s Choreographic Showcase for Schools is a competition designed specifically for dance schools. It’s the ideal platform to showcase your group of students and your choreographic idea, allowing you to gain visibility and compete in a professional and international context.
The competition is open to dance schools, dance training centers, amateur sports associations (ASD), amateur sports clubs (SSD), as well as equivalent foreign organizations or bodies operating in the dance sector.
The competition has a single category: Groups, consisting of a minimum of two participants, and is divided into four subcategories:
- Baby: 5 to 8 years old
- Under 13: 9 to 13 years old
- Juniors: 14 to 17 years old
- Seniors: 18 and up years old
The minimum and maximum ages must be reached by the date of the competition.
The following disciplines are eligible: Classical and Neoclassical Dance, Modern-Jazz-Contemporary, Urban Dance, and Hip Hop.
The event will take place on July 19, 2026, at 8:30 PM in Fardella (PZ), a small village in Basilicata characterized by natural landscapes, parks, and historic urban spaces. Therefore, we encourage you to take into account the specific characteristics of the local context.
The prize pool consists of trophies and/or plaques, and/or medals and prestigious scholarships. In the event of two groups finishing in equal rank, both will receive awards. The jury reserves the right, however, not to award all prizes within the same discipline/category.
