Art. 1 – Introduction
The Choreographic Showcase for Schools of the Pollino Danza Festival will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2026, at 8:30 PM in Fardella (PZ), Basilicata, Italy.
Participation in the competition is open to dance schools, dance training centers, amateur sports associations (ASD), amateur sports companies (SSD), as well as equivalent foreign organizations operating in the field of dance.
In the event of a high number of participants, the starting time may be brought forward.
Art. 2 – Categories and Age Groups
The competition includes a single category: Groups (composed of at least 2 participants).
Art. 2.1
The Group category is divided into:
- Baby: from 5 to 8 years old
- Under 13: from 9 to 13 years old
- Juniors: from 14 to 17 years old
- Seniors: 18 years and over
Art. 2.2
The minimum and maximum age must be reached by the date of the competition.
Art. 3 – Disciplines
The following disciplines are admitted: Classical and Neoclassical Dance, Modern-Jazz-Contemporary, Urban Dance and Hip Hop.
Art. 3.1
Groups may compete with multiple choreographies in different disciplines, as well as submit multiple choreographies within the same discipline. Each choreography entered is subject to the corresponding participation fee.
Art. 4 – Duration of Choreographies and Music Tracks
Each choreography must not exceed 4 minutes.
The timing does not include the placement of any stage props.
Art. 4.1
Music tracks, in MP3 format, must be sent by June 20, 2026 to: competition@pollinodanza.it
Each track must include the name of the dance school and the title of the choreography.
A copy of the file must also be brought on a USB drive by the teacher/choreographer on the day of the competition.
Art. 5 – Registration
Registrations must be completed via the online form on www.pollinodanza.it and submitted no later than June 11, 2026.
Art. 6 – Fees and Payment Methods
Participation fees (non-refundable) for each performance are:
- €125.00 per choreography for up to 3 participants
- From the fourth participant onward, an additional €25.00 per extra participant applies
The number of additional participants can be specified and paid at the end of the online registration process.
Art. 7 – Documentation
Participation is subject to completion of the online form and payment of the participation fee.
Art. 8 – Jury Decision
The jury will be composed of recognized professionals in the field, of national and international reputation, qualified in each discipline of the competition. Their decision is final and not subject to appeal.
Art. 9 – Awards
Prizes include trophies and/or plaques, medals, and prestigious scholarships. In the case of tied rankings, both participants will be awarded. The jury reserves the right not to assign all prizes within a specific discipline/category.
The award ceremony will take place on the evening of July 19, 2026.
Art. 10 – Rehearsals
Each choreography may be rehearsed on stage on July 18, 2026 (the day before the competition). Each group will have 10 minutes of stage time. Rehearsal schedules will be arranged with the organization.
Art. 11 – General Rules
Accompanying persons are responsible for any improper or damaging behavior by their students, including damage to persons or property.
Access to dressing rooms and the stage is strictly reserved for participants.
All performances will take place under fixed lighting.
Stage sets are not permitted. Any props required must be easy and quick to set up and remove, and this must be handled exclusively by the participants.
The organization reserves the right to modify the program and replace jury members if necessary.
Participation in the competition implies full and unconditional acceptance of these regulations and any additional rules introduced by the organization, which shall be considered an integral part thereof. In case of non-compliance, the organization reserves the right to disqualify participants without refund.
The organization declines all civil and criminal liability resulting from non-compliance with the regulations and for any unattended belongings before, during, and after the event.
Art. 11 – Image Rights
All participants in the Pollino Danza Festival authorize the organization to acquire and use photos, videos, and personal data for informational, promotional, and statistical purposes, in accordance with GDPR 2018 – European Regulation on personal data protection.
Art. 12 – Responsibility
The dance school representative or teacher is responsible for the authenticity of the submitted documentation. In the event of false documentation, the participant(s) or group will be automatically disqualified.
