Ester Ambrosino is a renowned dancer, choreographer and Artistic Director of the Tanztheater Erfurt e.V., which she founded in 2007. Born in Palermo, she began her classical dance training under Claudia Wilmet in her hometown and continued her passion at the theater in Trieste. Her dedication led her to earn a degree in Contemporary Dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, a prestigious institution known for its comprehensive dance programs.

Ester Ambrosino’s work is highly regarded for its transversal appeal, incorporating a wide range of theatrical and international forms of expression. Her innovative choreography and leadership at the Tanztheater Erfurt have been honored with numerous awards, including the prestigious cultural prize. Her choreographic excellence was further recognized with the award for best choreography in Thuringia for Face Me.
